Cougars Game

Last night Amy and I had the pleasure of watching our friend Nick Marhley ump the Kane Country Cougars game. Nick was lucky enough to be close to home and join the Midwest league this year and this was the first opportunity for Amy and I to attend one of the games in which he was home plate umpire. Nick, knowing that he had fans in the audience, was definitely calling border line strikes all night trying to irk the players so he could show off and eject someone. Amy and I, like typical old people, had to leave the game early last night right before the 9th inning as we were exhausted and wanted to go to bed, but apparently from texts we received from other friends who were attending the game as well, the game lasted until the 15th and at some point during extra innings Nick got in a tussle with the players and coaches and ending up ejecting a coach and a player....and I missed it. Next time I am bring a thermos of coffee so that I don't miss out.

Good to be home!

Now that's what I call a cat nap!!

The drive home took a lot out of us, so we spent the rest of our weekend catching up on sleep and hanging with the cats. They definitely missed us :)

Last day in Vail

Good friends, good food, good views, good times!! Vail was beautiful and a great vacation. The road trip wasn't too bad, but I think it will be a while before I sign up for another 16 hour drive.
