While you wait for me to catch up, here are some videos I took of Lily last week. She sure has learned a lot!!
Loving her new play house and phone. Also showing off her body part knowledge.
Mommy's helper answering the phone. She let me put her hair in a ponytail that day!

April catch up
Hello blog friends. Yes, we are alive. Sorry it's been so long. April and May FLEW by and I can't believe it's already June. We've been having lots of fun and staying busy. Here's a recap of April.
Early in the month my friend Jamie (who I worked with at Disney) came to visit from Atlanta. The weather wasn't too cold, but it wasn't hot by any means. We played inside, went out to eat a few times, and took Lily to her first trip to the zoo! On Jamie's last day, Lily stayed home with Matt so Jamie and I could do some shopping in Chicago. It was a really fun weekend and always fun to catch up with a great friend.
There were a few days where it was still chilly, but decent enough to play outside. Lily is walking very well now and loves to play with water bottles and her cozy coupe. She also loved (and still loves) playing with her Easter basket and plastic eggs.
My cousins (Joe, Shelley, Ally, and Grant) met us at Rainforest Cafe one day. As you can see below, Lily was mesmerized with the scenery. Ally was nice enough to give Lily her old playhouse, so we met to do the swap. (side note: we just put the house up and Lily LOVES it!!)
This is Lily on Easter morning with her two presents: a Cubs Pillow Pet and a Bubble Mower. She knew just what to do with the pillow and laid on it right away. She also loved pushing the mower in the house even without the bubbles yet.
Matt and I hosted a big Easter dinner at our house. It was lots of fun and nice to have 10 extra people to entertain Lily. She of course loved all the attention. She also got to eat ice cream when we all had dessert. She had just learned the "more" sign in sign language and how to nod "yes" which came in handy when asking for more ice cream.
After Jamie's visit and watching an episode of Celebrity Apprentice, I decided I could make some art for my living room. So these are my creations. I thought after 5 years it was time to fill the blank space above the couch and I'm pleased with how they turned out.
This was probably the week after Easter. Lily was putting "cubbie bear" to good use while watching Sesame Street.
I had my first experience taking care of two little ones when my friend Gina asked me to watch her son Ryan for a while. He is a very happy guy and it was an easy couple of hours (phew!). Lily was a very good helper and shared her toys nicely. She even threw Ryan his first tea party. :)

Easter 2011 was lots of fun. I went with our play group to the mall to meet the Easter Bunny. It was Lily's first time since she was to little last year. You can tell she wasn't thrilled, but she didn't cry either.
