(This is mainly for the Grandparents, but others can feel free to enjoy!)
Lily's preschool sang in church today. It was a nice happy moment after a time of sadness praying for the families in CT. I am so thankful for my babies and can't imagine what life is like for the people out there.
Lily's in the front row in a green jumper with a white turtle neck. I don't think she's singing, but at least she didn't cry or freak out. :) The older kids who did sing are cute too!
Lily is in a row with her favorite friends from school. Taylor is to her right and then Zoey and Livy are to her left. I love when she gets to school and sees her friends. They all scream and shout hi to each other.
The two songs are "Jesus Rocks" and "Happy Birthday, Jesus".

Kyle is 6 months old
(This post is late, but the pictures were taken on time.)
Happy Half Birthday Kyle!!
How did 6 months go by so fast?
Happy Half Birthday Kyle!!
How did 6 months go by so fast?
Once again, Lily had to hop in and take a picture with you :)
Last month was very big for Kyle. He had his first Halloween and first Thanksgiving. He also started solid foods. So far, this child will eat any food, any time, any temp. He is just hungry all the time! I'm finally figuring out how much to give him during the day, so he is back to sleeping better at night (about 8 hours for his long stretch). Before we started fruits and veggies, his long stretch at night was only 4 hours, and that wasn't fun for anyone.
At his Doctor's check up, he weighed 19.5 pounds and measured 27" long. He had to get 4 shots this time because of his vaccines and his first flu shot. But Lily helped make him happy and he only cried for a little bit. No issues afterwards. The Dr. said he's healthy and everything is proportional. He's just my big, little guy.
My big concern right now is how to keep him warm this winter. He's about 1 pound away from outgrowing his infant car seat. Soon he'll be in the kind that stays mounted in the car. Of course this corresponds to the time when it's getting cold outside. The only coats I could find were either for infants or for 1 year olds. So I bought a 12 month size coat, but it's so big on him. The first time I put him in it I will take a picture, because I'm sure he's going to look like Ralphie from the Christmas Story (Mom, I can't put my arms down!)
Luckily, once I start taking Kyle out of his car seat, he should be able to sit up in the shopping cart and in his stroller. He just learned to sit this month! He still wobbles a tiny bit, but for the most part he's got it figured out. Now he can play a little easier with Lily or at least get a better view of what's going on around him.
Kyle is still wearing 9 month clothes, but starting to transition into the 12 month size. Still wearing size 3 diapers.
Now that he's mastered sitting, we are working on rolling. There were a couple times at Thanksgiving where I left the room with him on his back and came back to find him on his tummy. So I guess he can roll, but I've never seen it. He hasn't figured out scooting or crawling yet, but that is FINE with me! I am not ready for him get into everything... especially with all the Christmas stuff up. If he could wait until after Christmas to learn to crawl, that'd be perfect.
Instead of crawling, Kyle just wants to bounce. He bounces in his jumperoo a lot, but he'll also just bounce on his own any time you're holding him upright. He's legs are in non-stop motion. He doesn't go anywhere, but just loves to move! It scares me for when he does start moving. I bet he'll be fast!
Gobble Gobble
Kyle's 1st Thanksgiving was lots of fun. We celebrated at Grandma and Papa's house in Indiana. We were able to spend several days there, so it was great having lots of time with family.
The whole Hannigan family!
On the right is Uncle Matt and his girlfriend, Sara. This was her first time joining us for a holiday. It was great having her and she was good company on Black Friday shopping :)
Kyle's face is really funny in this one. Not sure why he's so perplexed.
