We took Lily back to our favorite orchard for another year of apple picking. It's hard to believe that last year Matt wore her in the infant carrier and she was just learning to crawl. This year she was walking/running around and picking/eating her own apples!

Videos of 19 month Lily
A little dancing... then a little eating. Then back to dancing.
Pardon my singing.... This is the theme song to Lily's favorite show.

Labor Day Weekend
Hi there! Yes, we are alive. In case anyone still reads our blog, here's some pics from this weekend. I can't promise when the next blog post will be, but I will try to do better. It looks like Blogger has a new format so maybe it will be easier and faster to use.
On Labor Day, Matt and I took Lily to the zoo. We met Cara (my sorority sister from Purdue), her Mom, sister and nephews. The boys were just a little bit older than Lily (but not by much) so she really enjoyed spending the day with them.
Braden decided to pull Trevor and Lily in the wagon. He refused any help from the adults and did a pretty good job. I think he only ran into a few people. ;)
Cara, Lily & Amy
It's a little hard to see, but Cara just changed her hair color yesterday. Now she's a red head!
On Sunday, Matt was washing his car, so Lily decided to wash hers. It was so cute to see her copy everything Daddy did. I've never seen anyone wash their car in a dress, but Lily pulled it off. :)

Recent Videos
While you wait for me to catch up, here are some videos I took of Lily last week. She sure has learned a lot!!
Loving her new play house and phone. Also showing off her body part knowledge.
Mommy's helper answering the phone. She let me put her hair in a ponytail that day!

April catch up
Hello blog friends. Yes, we are alive. Sorry it's been so long. April and May FLEW by and I can't believe it's already June. We've been having lots of fun and staying busy. Here's a recap of April.
Early in the month my friend Jamie (who I worked with at Disney) came to visit from Atlanta. The weather wasn't too cold, but it wasn't hot by any means. We played inside, went out to eat a few times, and took Lily to her first trip to the zoo! On Jamie's last day, Lily stayed home with Matt so Jamie and I could do some shopping in Chicago. It was a really fun weekend and always fun to catch up with a great friend.

There were a few days where it was still chilly, but decent enough to play outside. Lily is walking very well now and loves to play with water bottles and her cozy coupe. She also loved (and still loves) playing with her Easter basket and plastic eggs.

My cousins (Joe, Shelley, Ally, and Grant) met us at Rainforest Cafe one day. As you can see below, Lily was mesmerized with the scenery. Ally was nice enough to give Lily her old playhouse, so we met to do the swap. (side note: we just put the house up and Lily LOVES it!!)

This is Lily on Easter morning with her two presents: a Cubs Pillow Pet and a Bubble Mower. She knew just what to do with the pillow and laid on it right away. She also loved pushing the mower in the house even without the bubbles yet.
Matt and I hosted a big Easter dinner at our house. It was lots of fun and nice to have 10 extra people to entertain Lily. She of course loved all the attention. She also got to eat ice cream when we all had dessert. She had just learned the "more" sign in sign language and how to nod "yes" which came in handy when asking for more ice cream.
After Jamie's visit and watching an episode of Celebrity Apprentice, I decided I could make some art for my living room. So these are my creations. I thought after 5 years it was time to fill the blank space above the couch and I'm pleased with how they turned out.

This was probably the week after Easter. Lily was putting "cubbie bear" to good use while watching Sesame Street.
I had my first experience taking care of two little ones when my friend Gina asked me to watch her son Ryan for a while. He is a very happy guy and it was an easy couple of hours (phew!). Lily was a very good helper and shared her toys nicely. She even threw Ryan his first tea party. :)

Easter 2011 was lots of fun. I went with our play group to the mall to meet the Easter Bunny. It was Lily's first time since she was to little last year. You can tell she wasn't thrilled, but she didn't cry either.

New Lily Videos
As you can see in the videos below, Lily is very mobile now and also lots of fun. (Sorry some of the videos are dark.) I've started taking more videos than pictures because she's usually one big blur. I'm not sure why she wanted to be upside down in the picture above. I was bringing down her outfit and found her like that.
Lily is a week away from turning 15 months old. We'll go to the doctor then so we can find out how much she's grown. She can still wear some of her 12 month outfits but we're starting to get into some of her 18 month ones. She has her two bottom teeth and just cut one of her top teeth (not sure what the proper name is, but it's the one next to the front middle tooth). I can't think of any other major milestones to report.... so enjoy the videos!
