Matt left work early the day the snow started and worked from home the next day so we were all together. Fortunately we never lost power and the blizzard was pretty uneventful for us. We just stayed cozy inside while everything passed. (Too bad the same can't be said for the people who got trapped on Lake Shore Drive....yikes!)This was one occasion where I was happy to be living in a town house and paying for snow removal. Our streets were cleared early but they didn't come to shovel our driveway until around 5 pm. During Lily's afternoon nap I half-considered shoveling our walk (so I could go out and take pictures) but I stopped when I couldn't open my front door!!!
View from our front door (before they shoveled)
View from our bedroom window (before they shoveled). The driveway looks clear because the wind blew all the snow up against our garage. I was afraid to open the garage door before they shoveled because I was afraid I might not get it back down.
Snow blowers are for sissies... we got a bulldozer to remove our snow!! (Note that the snow pile is taller than the bulldozer.)
They moved all the snow in our driveway across the street. I'm guessing I won't see grass here until March.

Looking at our front door before it got shoveled. Obviously the bulldozer couldn't fit, so some poor guy had to shovel by hand.
