Lily's school had a field trip on Friday to the pumpkin farm. Kyle and I had to go with her. I was very nervous about handling both kids on my own, and dealing with the cold weather, but we did well and it was a success! It was chilly, but fortunately it was sunny and no rain. So we just bundled up and did fine.
Kyle looked like this the whole time (except when he fell asleep). Just stared at me and thought, "Mom, where have you taken me?"
Lily was kind of in a daze too. We had to get up early to get there on time. I think it was all a little overwhelming.
The class took a hay ride but I couldn't bring Kyle on it. So Lily sat with her teacher and Kyle and I walked around to look at some animals. There was another baby and Mom with us. The two boys posed with the birds. They were thrilled... can't you tell?

Once the hay ride was over, we picked up Lily and saw the "Pumpkin-Eating Dinosaur". Lily is still talking about him, it must have been one of her favorite parts.
Then it was Lily's turn to see the animals. Here are some baby pigs.
And the BIG Mommy pig
We bought some carrots and Lily fed the animals. This is a kangaroo.

The kangaroos started boxing!
Lily fed the baby goats
Lily fed the giraffe. (That was my favorite part! Their tongue is so long and tickles you when they grab the carrot.)
All the kids on the field trip. The 2 year olds were also with a 4 & 5 year old class from the same school.
Lily and Mommy. Someone was anxious to go home!
