Kyle "Stands"

He's not 100% on his own (he's using the ottoman for support), but still impressive.  And cute to see him dance.

PS - Since I don't know how to edit my video, at the end you get to see how well Lily listens to me. urg!

Piano Time

Think there's any natural talent?  Good to see Great Grandma Betty's piano being put to good use.

February Catch Up

See what we did in February...

Lily's First Manicure!

"Look, Kyle!  I picked bright green."

Lily showing her fingers and friend Madison showing her toes.  The trip to the salon was something we did with the Moms' group I'm in.  It was cute to see all the girls get fancy.

Bedtime stories with Daddy

We had a big storm with lots of wet snow.  While Daddy watched Kyle, I took Lily out to build a snowman.  I was going to take a picture, but she knocked it over when I went in to get my camera.  :(

The next day, while Lily was at school, I bundled Kyle up to take him out in the snow for the first time. As you can see, he was thrilled.  Maybe you'll like it better next year, buddy.

SO BIG!

Kyle snuggling with Miss Corey
She's been my friend since I worked at Disney in college.  She's always lived down South but now she's moved to Illinois!  About 5 minutes away to be exact!!!  It will be great being so close since before we only got to see each other about once every other year.

Lily and friend Taylor watching a movie on the couch.
We had some computer troubles this month and Taylor's Dad came to our rescue.   The whole family came over and the kids played while he did his repairs.  It took several hours, so while the baby boys were asleep and the girls were comfy on the couch, the adults played euchre!  It kind of felt like our old college days... except for the Disney movie playing in the background.

Just before Valentine's Day I took Lily to make chocolate!  It was another fun outing with the Mom's group.  Here she is decorating "chocolate pizza".

"Ta Da!!"
She made chocolate heart suckers, chocolate covered pretzels, and chocolate pizza.  Of course,  had t help her eat it all.  Parents have a tough job sometimes. ;)

Yum!  The suckers were her favorite.

New clothes mean time for a photo shoot.
Looks like a future Zeta in all those strawberries.

shirt #2 (Heart Throb)

Sibling love.  Happy Valentine's Day!

Our friends, Rich and Jane, came over for a visit with their daughter, Cameron.  She falls right between our kids age-wise (she's about a year and a half now).  Kyle had fun watching her play and she had fun watching Lily play.  Except for Kyle, they didn't sit still much, so this is the best picture we could get of all three.

January Catch Up

Here's all the fun we had in January 2013.

At the beginning of the month we took Kyle to the doctor for his second flu shot.  His weight confirmed what we had suspected.  He was too big for the infant car seat.  So at 7 months old, we moved him into Lily's old convertible car seat.  They like looking at each other and sometimes hold hands.  It's so cute!

Lily turned 3 years old this month!  Our gifts to her were "big girl" furniture, Princess stickers for her walls. and a Rapunzel comforter.  Here she is posing with all three.  Can you tell that she placed all the stickers?

Since he's not interested in moving, and we're getting tired of watching him sit, we started standing him up.  He's really just leaning, but it's close to standing.  He can stay that way for like 30 minutes and loves it!

Lily LOVES playing with her babies.  Now that she's 3 she plays by herself more.  She's got quite an imagination.  It's funny when she plays Mommy and I hear her regurgitate things that I have said to her.  It's especially entertaining to me when the babies have been bad and she's disciplining them.

Birthday Party #1 (for the Grandparents)

Nana, Kyle, Grandpa, and Lily
Lily got a Princess bedtime storybook for Christmas and I think she had Grandpa reading it to her for 45 minutes!  That's the only book she wants before bed now.

Papa, Kyle, Lily, and Grandma

Dad and Mom with the Birthday Girl

She wanted an Elmo Birthday again and I didn't feel like making the same cake as last year, so I tried these Elmo cupcakes.  I also attempted to make cake pops for the first time because I got the supplies for Christmas.  I need some practice to get them perfect.  But I think Lily will gladly help eat my rejects!

Birthday Party #2 (for the kids)
A Princess Party (of course!) but Elmo was invited too.
Lily is wearing her Rapunzel dress and showing the camera her new Cinderella slippers.

The Birthday Princess

All hail, Prince Kyle!
Grandma thought Kyle needed a Prince outfit for the party.  Can you believe she made this?  And she used a leftover table cloth from my wedding!  I thought that blue looked familiar...

All the Birthday Princesses
Clockwise from Lily: Madison, Livie, and Taylor

And the Princes: Axel and Kyle
Axel is Taylor's little brother and these guys were born just a few weeks apart

Balloons are the best!

Unfortunately, Lily was sick on her actual Birthday.  The day after her party she woke up with a high fever and bad cough.  The doctor said it was bronchitis and gave her some antibiotic.  She was sick all week and it was probably the sickest she's ever been.  We are thankful she's been so healthy all these three years.  It sticks that it fell on her Birthday, but luckily she was healthy for her fun parties.  Of course Kyle and I got sick too (and eventually Matt).  But we just had colds that weren't as bad.

Later in the month, once everyone was healthy and the snow finally came, we got to go outside and play. This was her first snow angel!

Fun times at the table

The kitchen table is where we spend most of our day.  Here's some recent highlights.

Kyle has gotten really good at "SO BIG".  Some times he'll do it on his own and keep repeating until I cheer.

Lily has always pronounced Sleeping Beauty as Sleeping Boobie.  She now realizes that it's funny.  I love that giggle she has.

Kyle is an eating machine.  He recently started eating scrambled eggs, and as you can see, he can't get enough!  I know this is kind of long, but he finds his stride half way through and does some funny stuff.

Vroom! Vroom!

End of December Catch Up

Christmas was lots of fun this year.  We had lots to celebrate and were so fortunate to spend the days with all our immediate family.

Kyle's First Christmas!

Grandma and Papa visited our house on the 21st-22nd for an early Hannigan Christmas

Once Uncle Matt arrived on the night of the 22nd it was time to open presents!

On Sunday, the 23rd, Kyle was baptized!

Uncle Jason and Aunt Millie are Jason's godparents.  Unfortunately, their daughter, Charlotte, was sick that day, so she and Millie had to miss the celebration.

After church, everyone came back to our house for a party.  It was great having an extra day to spend with family in the middle of the busy Christmas week.

On Christmas Eve, we celebrated Cianciarulo Christmas at our house.  Charlotte was feeling better, so we finally got to see her and Aunt Millie

Lily and Charlotte had lots of fun playing together when they weren't helping everyone unwrap presents

Helping Uncle Mike

Just as Charlotte liked watching Lily, Kyle liked watching Charlotte.  I'm sure she's telling him something very important.

Stocking time on Christmas morning!  Matt, Amy, Lily, and Kyle all got new, coordinating stockings this year.  Lily has a penguin and Kyle has a bear.  Matt and I are Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Christmas Day at Nana and Grandpa's house

Grandpa is a good toy for Kyle and a good chair for Lily to sit on while she watches a movie

Charlotte loved cooking in the kitchen.  She wore that chef's hat for a LONG time.

We tried hard to get a nice picture of the 3 cousins.  We usually got 2 of the 3 kids to look good.

This was the best of all three

Beep! Beep!  Kyle likes his new car.  For now, Lily pushes him around the house.  When the weather gets nice he can cruise outside and keep up with Lily in her pink one.

Lily LOVES her princess babies. She got Tiana baby from Santa and was THRILLED.  She also got Aurora and Bell "big girl" dolls at Christmas.  You'd think she has enough, but she's already told me which ones she's missing.  :)

Hey, Chips and Salsa made the blog!  They are neglected most of the time, but we remembered them this year.  Since Kyle was born, they've been better about spending time with us and don't hide under the bed as much.  In this picture they are enjoying our decorations while we were taking them down.

Happy New Year's Eve!

We bought that had 3 years ago for Lily's first NYE.  I wonder how long we can get it to last.
